It IS possible. Window treatments can be so expensive, so I went on a mission to make affordable curtains look like they were a custom job (for 1/4th of the price)
When I did an instagram poll, y'all voted for adding the trim. So I have outlined the basic DIY project below with links to associated products.
I found these curtains originally on Amazon
This window is very large, so I ordered 3 panels on each side, for a total of 6 panels.
I used 1 extra wide panel (100 inches wide) and 2 (50 inch wide) panels.
Here are the EXACT ones I have. The color here is BIRCH. They go out of stock often, so order soon if you love!
I used this gold/brass curtain rod.
I used these CURTAIN RINGS. Space evenly. Make sure you use ones with clips to get the "french pleated" look.
I used THIS GREEK KEY TRIM. Add trim with curtain pins, have it sewn on if you love the trim to keep it for a LONG time or add velcro tape to one side of curtain and other to the back of the tape trim.
